Sister Brigitte Yengo.
Sister Brigitte was born in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo. In 1974 she received a Baccalaureate of Socio-studies at Misericordia College in Metz, France. She received her religious formation and theology certification in Paris and Congo, then continued her studies, receiving a Diploma in Clinical Psychology at University Libre de Paris.
She came to Lombard, Illinois in 1983 and received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree (DC) in 1987. After returning to Congo, she received the degree of Doctor of General Medicine (MD) in 1991.
Forced to Flee the Country
In 1998 she was forced to flee the country for her safety after threats on her life by the military. She landed in New York with no money and nowhere to go. She went to the closest Catholic church to laGuardia airport, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish. For the next several years she coordinated religious educational programs at the parish, became director of a home and legal guardian for children of incarcerated mothers, arranged childrens’ visits and taught parenting skills and domestic violence programs to the inmates in several prisons. From 2001 to 2003 she served as a psychologist counselor for domestic violence victims in Atlanta, Georgia.
Return to Congo In 2003 she was able to return to Brazzaville and became director of Catholic Charities Program for Refugees and in 1992 she founded the Cardinal Biayenda Foundation (FOCEB) which serves the poorest of the poor in memory of the first Congolese Cardinal who was assassinated by the military because of his faith.
Appointed Director Of Notre Dame Mission In 2004 was appointed as Coordinator of the Notre Dame Mission in Brazzaville which she continues in 2026.
In 2009 she received a degree as Doctor Honoris Causa from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois in honor of her work for the poor. In 2020 she was approved by the Vatican as the administrator for cause of the beatification of Cardinal Biayenda. In 2023 she was elected Superior General of the Sisters of Notre Dame of Rosary and then President of the Superior Generals of the religious congregations of Central Africa.
Sister Anne Marie was born on the 23rd of January 1978, in a small town called Madingou, where she was raised until the age of 16. She went to the convent of the Sisters of the Holy Rosary at the age of 16, while still going to high school. After finishing high school, she started religious training and pronounced my first vows in 2002, and final vows in 2007.The University
She continued her education at university from 2003 to 2006 and majored in Cell and Molecular Biology (Masters degree) in 2006.
Chiropractic Education
Later I moved to the U.S on a scholarship to study Chiropractic at Life Chiropractic College West, in Hayward, California. I graduated in 2013 and came back to Congo .The ClinicSince April 2014 I have been practicing at the facility named Centre de Polios, with sister Brigitte.
In September 2023, I became the deputy of our General Superior, Sister Brigitte, and also assumed the role of Secretary of the Congregation.

Sister has a background in nursing. She studied in Congo and France, She has traveled in the United States: California, New York, Chicago. She has a great open mind.Along with Sister Brigitte, she supervises all activities of basket ware, carving/sculpture and carpentry.She also supervises the activities of pottery, sewing, trades skills and sewing, working with volunteer trainers from the Cardinal Bayenda Foundation (FOCEB)

Sister Gisele holds a a BA in business Administration and accounting from Philadelphia University,. She is the supervisor for all aspects of education at Notre Dame Mission
